From Discovery to Churn - Mobile Gaming Consumer Funnel Data

Jesse Divnich  |  Vice President of Insights, EEDAR

Location: Room 3016, West Hall

Format: Session
Track: Business, Marketing & Management
Vault Recording: Video

Discovery. Engagement. Virality. Monetization. Churn. Mobile and free-to-play games thrive or die on how they move consumers through this funnel. With the latest data trends available from EEDAR's annual consumer survey, this presentation will identify the most recent trends in mobile game consumer discovery, engagement, virality, monetization and churn. In addition to the most recent trends, Mr. Divnich will provide best-in-class examples of each mechanism in the consumer funnel, how they will evolve over the next 12 months, and how industry policy, consumer sentiment changes and a new wave of hardware technology will impact how we move our consumers, profitably, through this funnel.

Attendees will gain expert knowledge in what drives mobile game discovery. They will learn about how to increase engagement and session length, and the mechanisms that drive mobile game virality. They will hear about what drives (and how to increase) monetization, conversion and their frequency. And finally, attendees will discover why consumers churn and how to prevent it.

Intended Audience

The talk is targeted at professionals who are currently developing or launching games on mobile and tablet devices. This includes people in marketing, insights and user acquisition, along with PR/communication managers and producers. It also includes those with investments in mobile games or companies, and any industry professional looking to stay informed on the latest data trends in the consumer funnel.
